Middle Corridor – Trans-Caspian Route gaining popularity

We reach the Port of Baku in Azerbaijan via:

-road transport through Turkey – Georgia – Baku or
-road-sea transport via Bulgarian and Romanian ports, ferry to Georgian ports (Poti, Batumi), and road transport to Baku

From Baku, shipments continue by ferry to:

-Kuryk Port in Kazakhstan or
-Turkmenbashi Port in Turkmenistan

Final delivery by road to the final destination. This route enables both FTL shipments and single-pallet LTL deliveries.

The traditional route: how shipping to Central Asia via Russia goes

Direct delivery through Latvia – Russia (only for goods permitted for transit !!!)
Trailer swap at the Belarusian border: European tractor unit delivers to Brest, Eastern tractor unit takes over from Brest
Transloading options in Belarus, Lithuania, or Latvia. European trucks transport to Brest, Eastern trucks continue from Brest

Customs clearance: procedures & recommendations

When exporting goods to third countries, it is essential to determine the customs clearance location and ensure all required documentation is in place. We recommend completing export clearance in the country of origin, preferably near the production facility, to streamline the process
At every border crossing, we cooperate with trusted customs agents who assist in document preparation and the selection of appropriate customs codes

What ensures additional peace of mind?

When choosing a logistics company, it is crucial to consider experience in transportation and transshipping similar types of cargo, familiarity with regulations and requirements for hazardous, phytosanitary, veterinary, oversized, or fragile goods

We cooperate with trusted terminals and ensure flawless transshipment. The expertise and qualifications of our partners allow us to minimize risks

Clever Logistics holds a Freight Forwarder's Liability Insurance, and Cargo Insurance is also available. The Institute Cargo Clause A offers the broadest coverage, including not only transport risks but also storage-related risks

Each client receives daily shipment tracking updates via email, allowing them to plan for unloading and customs clearance at the destination

We do not recommend that European shippers handle import clearance in the destination country. The consignee is typically better equipped to manage this process due to their local expertise in regulations and procedures

We will deliver your cargo safely, selecting the best of our comprehensive logistics solutions
